Quote form the book " The Definitive Book of Body Language" ..

" Lying is the oil that greases our interactions with others and lets us maintain friendly social relationship." P: 143.
I read a lot of interesting information in this book but I have found the above quote is the most interesting because it says explicitly that "Lying" is what makes our relations goes on! It describes the Lying as the "oil" that greases our relationships with words, facial expressions, and gestures. That's true!! It has limits and common acceptable boundaries in each society; if it exceeds the limits , it will become as the acid that erodes the metal! In fact, it is ugly to know that we are liars in a way or another! but without that we will end up alone!

" The Definitive Book of Body Language part IV "

Since the entire book is a new experience for me, I am very interested and excited about it.
One of the things that exited me is a chapter talks about " Cultural Differences". It shows how certain gestures have different meanings in different cultures in the world. For example, victory sign (V) means "victory" in Germany, "peace" in France, but it has really bad meaning in Britain, Australia, New Zealand, and Malta! Another example, thumb up means "One" in Europe and "good" or "OK" widespread. However, it has a bad meaning in Australia! (p: 107 - 111)

That's really surprised me! Normal gesture in may culture could put me in a bad situation in other culture!!!

I am still excited about this book because it still surprises me with new information and helps me to understand others.
